Controlled release fertilizer

Plantacote Pluss 8M is a controlled release fertilizer with a tough and resilient polymer coating. Each granule contains major nutrients and trace elements designed to support crop needs over an 8-month cycle. Nutrient release is governed by a natural membrane process controlled by soil temperature. Higher temperatures speed up release, while lower temperatures slow it down. Declared release times refer to an average soil temperature of 21 °C and are unaffected by substrate type, pH, micro-organisms, or irrigation levels.

Benefits of Plantacote Pluss 8M :

  • Complete nutrient profile: Contains N, P, K, Mg, S and the full range of trace elements.
  • Durable coating: Ultra safe coating designed to reduce cracking or damage during handling.
  • Uniform formulation: Each granule contains all essential nutrients for balanced supply.
  • Season-long supply: Complete nutrient availability throughout the growing season.
  • Stress tolerance: Formulated to withstand extreme stress conditions.
  • Adjusted release: Extra nitrogen during early growth, extra potassium during later stages.
  • Labour savings: Supports simplified application and planning.

How Plantacote Pluss 8M works

Plantacote Pluss 8M begins releasing nutrients after 1–2 weeks. The membrane-controlled release pattern is influenced only by soil temperature, helping manage nutrient availability in line with crop needs over the entire 8-month cycle. This design also reduces the risk of salt stress, even in premixed growing media stored for up to 1–2 weeks.

Longevity depends on temperature:

Average soil temp                Longevity

15/16°C                                  9-10 months

20/21°C                                  8-9 months

26/27°C                                  6-7 months
