Valent Clips

High Wire Hooks for Horticulture

High Wire Hooks, also known as Tomato Hooks, are essential for the professional vegetable grower. They are a key component of the high wire system. This is the preferred method of greenhouse tomato production worldwide. The hooks are attached to high wires, allowing plants to be lowered and adjusted as they grow. It makes pruning or twisting easier. The most commonly used hook in this system is the O-Hook.

Sticky Traps 

In Canada, we offer yellow sticky traps and rolls. These are an effective solution for detecting, monitoring, and controlling pest populations in greenhouses. Yellow sticky traps are particularly popular because they attract a wide range of insects, including whiteflies, aphids, leaf miners, and fungus gnats.

Types of traps:

  • Sticky trap sheets:
    These sheets are available with either dry or wet adhesive glue. Dry glue sheets are primarily used for monitoring pest populations, while wet glue sheets are more effective for trapping insects. The sheets feature a grid pattern, making it easy to count the number of captured insects.
