Reliable whitefly control with Eretmocerus eremicus
Eretline Card contains the parasitic wasp Eretmocerus eremicus. This biological control agent targets whiteflies through a combination of host feeding and parasitism. It is effective against both greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) and sweet potato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), making it ideal for use in mixed infestations.
Benefits of Eretline Card :
- ✅Performs in warm conditions: Excellent performance in high and fluctuating temperatures.
- ✅Season-long protection: Strong persistence throughout the crop cycle.
- ✅Improved release system: Supplied on innovative blister cards for better emergence and establishment.
- ✅Efficient host location: Females actively search for and parasitize second instar whitefly larvae.
Target pests
Eretline Card is used to control greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) and sweet potato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), particularly in crops where both species may be present.
Mode of action
Female Eretmocerus eremicus wasps search for second-instar larvae of Bemisia or Trialeurodes. They lay an egg between the larva and the leaf surface. The emerging larva then parasitizes the host. In addition, adult females feed on young larvae, reducing the whitefly population both directly and indirectly.
Temperature and performance
Eretline Card performs best at temperatures between 25–29°C (77–84°F), making it well-suited for warm climates and greenhouses. It is highly effective in variable temperature environments and provides consistent control throughout the growing season.
Best use
Eretline Card is especially valuable in crops where Bemisia is present. Thanks to its dual action and suitability for mixed infestations, it plays a key role in integrated whitefly management programs.
