Combined biological control for whiteflies

Encarline Mix contains pupae of two parasitic wasp species: Encarsia formosa and Eretmocerus eremicus (50/50 ratio). These beneficial insects help manage multiple whitefly species, including Bemisia tabaci, Trialeurodes vaporariorum, and Aleyrodes proletella. The mix offers complementary control, as the wasps target younger whitefly larvae through feeding and older stages through parasitism. Eretmocerus eremicus is especially suited to high temperatures, making this combination effective across a wide temperature range.

Benefits of ENCAR & EREMIcontrol mix :

  • Broad targeting: Effective on multiple whitefly species for versatile use.
  • Temperature flexibility: Active parasitism starts from 15 °C and Eretmocerus eremicus remains effective at higher temperatures.
  • Heat adaptation: Eretmocerus eremicus can withstand temperatures up to 40 °C.
  • Convenient release: High emergence rates supported by unique, biodegradable ball dispensers.

Main uses

Management of whitefly species such as Bemisia tabaci, Trialeurodes vaporariorum, and Aleyrodes proletella in greenhouse crops.

How it works

Encarsia formosa and Eretmocerus eremicus provide complementary control by feeding on younger whitefly larvae and parasitizing older stages. After emerging from the biodegradable dispensers, adult wasps search for whitefly larvae to parasitize or consume. The inclusion of Eretmocerus eremicus ensures effective use in higher temperature conditions, supporting consistent control across varying climates.
