AMBLYcontrol monitoring agent
Neoseiulus cucumeris (formerly Amblyseius cucumeris) is a predatory mite belonging to the Phytoseiidae family, which mainly feeds on eggs and thrips larvae, but can also reduce populations of broad mites and cyclamen mites. It has excellent mobility on the underside of leaves and on flowers, and can survive in the absence of prey if found on pollen-rich plants such as peppers.
Benefits of AMBLYcontrol
- ✅Heat-tolerant: Useful in hot environments with low humidity.
- ✅Long-lived: Predator relative to other spider mite predators.
- ✅Flexible diet: Can feed on pollen and other crop pests in the absence of spider mites.
AMBLYcontrol instructions for use
• Storage: Keep the product cool until use.
• Temperature Adjustment: Allow the product to gradually reach greenhouse temperature. Avoid a rapid temperature increase, as this can cause temperature shock to the predatory mites.
• Handling: Keep the product horizontal and out of direct sunlight.
• Mixing Before Use: Mix the product well right before use. You can gently rotate the bag to mix or pour the contents into a bucket (over 5 litres) and mix thoroughly. Proper mixing ensures an even distribution of the mites in the material and in your crop. Continue mixing the material during application.
• Application: Shake out the material in small quantities over your crop or use a spreading system. Avoid contact with heating pipes and CO2 pipes. The required dosage depends on the pest pressure in the crop, so consult a product specialist for the correct application rate.
