Natural Control with Amblyseius cucumeris
Amblyline contains the predatory mite Amblyseius cucumeris, an effective biological control agent targeting Western Flower Thrips, Chili Thrips, and other harmful mites. These predatory mites spread quickly and provide long-term pest suppression across a wide range of crops.
Benefits of Amblyline
- ✅Broad spectrum control: Targets multiple thrips species and pest mites.
- ✅Effective against larvae: Proven success in controlling thrips larvae.
- ✅Fast distribution: Mites disperse quickly throughout the crop.
- ✅Long-lasting effect: Also feeds on pollen, supporting sustained population growth.
Target pests
Amblyline is used against various thrips species including Western Flower Thrips and Chili Thrips, as well as Broad mites and Cyclamen mites. It is suitable for a wide range of crops including vegetables, ornamentals, and soft fruits.
How Amblyline works
The formulation is designed to release a consistent number of active Amblyseius cucumeris mites onto the crop each day. At 24°C (75°F), mites develop within 6–9 days a rate that aligns with the lifecycle of Western Flower Thrips. Ideal conditions include temperatures between 19–27°C (66–80°F) and 65–75% relative humidity.
Optimal conditions
Amblyline performs best at temperatures of 66–80°F (19–27°C) and a relative humidity between 65–75%. The mites are not susceptible to diapause, meaning they remain active even during autumn.
Sustainable pest control
Because Amblyseius cucumeris mites can also feed on pollen, they are capable of surviving even in the absence of prey.
