Written by Jasper Verhoeven | Last update: 28. September 2020

Huwa-San, the greenhouse sanitizer with its remarkable effectiveness, is a stabilized hydrogen peroxide solution. It stands out for its ability to efficiently clean drip hoses, sprinkler lines, and fog systems. It is also suitable for disinfecting silos and various components of your entire water system, guarding against bacteria, fungi, and viruses in your water streams.

The technique of Huwa-San Canada

Thanks to its distinctive stabilizer, Huwa-San maintains its power over an extended period, ensuring coverage throughout the entire water system. It features an abundance of stabilized H2O2 molecules encircling silver ions, facilitating controlled delivery of HO2 to targeted areas. Additionally, surplus peroxide is promptly recombined around the silver ion to initiate the process anew upon completion. Unlike competing products, Huwa-San is free from harmful additives, odourless, colourless, and non-corrosive when used at the appropriate dosage.

Huwa-San is powerful against Biofilm

Huwa-San has established its effectiveness in both eliminating and deterring biofilm formation within water systems, consequently averting blockages in drippers and nozzles. It's notable advantage extends to the proactive inhibition of germ proliferation, as the product remains consistently present in the water system throughout the growing season. The greenhouse sanitizer effectively prevents various pathogens, including Fusarium, Pythium, Phytophthora, Pseudomonas, Clavibacter (causing bacterial invasion disease), fur virus, and Agrobacterium (known for inducing excessive root growth or "crazy roots").

Application of Huwa-San in Canada

For personal advice, reach out to one of our hygiene specialists. While the dosage may vary depending on the circumstances, a commonly used continuous dosage is 40cc of Huwa-San per 1000 liters. However, there might be instances where a higher dosage is advisable, depending on contact time and the specific issues encountered. Utilize hydrogen peroxide test strips to easily gauge the amount of peroxide present. After initiating Huwa-San treatment, flush the system to eliminate algae and biofilm buildup, thereby enhancing Huwa-San's efficacy. Regularly repeat this process and monitor for loosened debris. Utilize peroxide strips to verify Huwa-San's entry into the system and ensure even distribution and sustained effectiveness throughout the system.

Huwa-San Example

When applying 40 ppm of the product (equivalent to 20 ppm H2O2), you can expect to observe approximately 20 ppm at the front of the system. As the solution progresses through the lines, verify its presence at the back of the system by dispensing water onto the test strip from the end of the tubing. The objective is to measure around 10 ppm at the system's end.
