High concentration nitrogen source
Urea 46-0-0 is the most concentrated granular nitrogen fertilizer, providing plants with nitrogen throughout their growth and development. It is suitable for soils with pH below 6.5 and is widely used, from autumn tillage applications for crop quality improvement to use as an anti-stress agent. It is also the only nitrogen fertilizer used for rice cultivation.

Nitrogen forms and soil transformation
Urea supplies all three forms of available nitrogen: amide, ammonium, and nitrate (after transformation in the soil). Its transformation in the soil leads to alkalization followed by acidification of the soil solution.
