For optimal effectiveness, consider the following:
Application timing
For many insect pests, the best results are achieved when applications are made as insect populations begin to build, but before a damaging population is established. Ensure insects are contacted during spraying, especially if they are on the underside of leaves or if the foliage is dense. Repeat applications as needed to maintain control.
Application rate
Using lower rates than recommended may result in reduced performance. Higher rates should be applied when there is heavy insect pressure.
Weather conditions
Do not apply Decis 100 EC during temperature inversions or when temperatures exceed 25°C, as control may be reduced. For best results, apply during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or at dusk.
Coverage
Ensure thorough, uniform coverage over the entire plant surface for optimal insect control. More water may be necessary when foliage is dense or based on the spray equipment being used. All plants must be thoroughly wetted for effective results. Avoid using raindrop nozzles. When applying Decis 100 EC by aircraft, uniform spray coverage is important. Use sufficient water to ensure complete coverage for best results.
