Biological aphid management solution
ERVIcontrol contains mummies of the parasitic wasp Aphidius ervi. Once introduced into the crop, adult wasps emerge and search for aphid colonies. The female wasp deposits an egg inside the aphid, which develops internally and leads to the formation of a mummy on the plant. A new adult wasp emerges from this mummy to continue the lifecycle. Because mummies remain on foliage, ERVIcontrol is typically used in vegetable crops where visual appearance is less critical.
Benefits of ERVIcontrol :
- ✅ Multiple species targeting: Suitable for larger aphid species such as potato aphid, rose aphid, and butterflower aphid.
- ✅ Custom options: Available in grower-specific mixtures to suit different crop needs.
- ✅ Versatile application: Can be used both preventively and when aphid infestations are present.
- ✅ Temperature considerations: Activity may decline above 30 °C, so application timing should account for climate conditions.

How it works
After release, adult Aphidius ervi wasps locate aphids within the crop. The female wasp lays an egg inside the aphid, where it hatches and develops. This process results in a parasitized mummy remaining on the plant. A new adult wasp then emerges to continue the cycle. ERVIcontrol is especially useful for managing larger aphid species in vegetable crops. For best results, consider local temperature conditions, as activity tends to decline when temperatures exceed 30 °C.
