Basamid Granules
Basamid Granulat is a soil disinfectant in granule form and contains the active ingredient Dazomet.
Mode of action of Basamid Granules
Dazomet produces the active compound methyl isothiocyanate (MITC) by hydrolysis on contact with moist soil.
This compound penetrates the soil in its gaseous phase in an upward direction, acting against harmful soil organisms (insects, nematodes, fungi) and germinating weeds.
Soil organisms decompose MITC into harmless molecules (nutrients).
