Natural parasitoid wasp solution for larger aphids
Erviline is a biological control agent containing the Braconid wasp Aphidius ervi. This beneficial wasp is used to manage larger aphid species such as the foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani) and potato aphid (Macrosiphum euphorbiae), along with several other aphid species. It is suitable for use in many crops where larger aphid infestations can be an issue.
Benefits of Erviline :
- ✅ Large aphid targeting: Suited for species such as foxglove aphid and potato aphid.
- ✅ No diapause stage: Not light-sensitive, supporting consistent activity in various environments.
- ✅ Ready-to-use packaging: Adults begin emerging during transit, so they're prepared for immediate release.
- ✅ Designed for survival: Packaging includes ventilation and a food source to help maintain adult viability.

How it works
The female Aphidius ervi wasp lays an egg inside the aphid. The egg hatches in 2–3 days, and the larva feeds internally, leaving behind a characteristic parasitized mummy on the plant. The complete life cycle takes around 14 days at 25 °C (77 °F) or 19 days at 21 °C (70 °F). When aphid colonies are already established, Erviline can be applied at higher rates by releasing wasps directly adjacent to the colonies. In situations without previous releases, aphid populations may increase quickly, and supplemental control methods may be needed. Erviline can also be used in any crop where Macrosiphum euphorbiae is the primary aphid pest.
