Natural whitefly management solution
EncarsiaCard is a biological control solution with Encarsia formosa pupae fixed in protective wells on a card. Once hung in the crop, adult wasps emerge and help manage greenhouse whitefly populations.
Benefits of Encarline Blist :
- ✅ Reliable emergence: Consistently high emergence rates support effective release.
- ✅ Easy monitoring: Parasitised scales turn black, making them easy to see in the crop.
- ✅ Protected packaging: Pupae are secured in card wells to help prevent damage during transport.
- ✅ Gradual emergence: Adult wasps emerge steadily over a week for even distribution.
Main uses
Greenhouse whitefly
How it works
EncarsiaCard works best in cooler conditions, with an optimum range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). Development from egg to adult takes about 25 days at 21 °C (70 °F). Once the card is hung, adult wasps emerge over about a week, moving through the crop to find whitefly larvae (third and fourth instar stages). The female wasp lays an egg inside the host, and the developing Encarsia larva consumes it from within. Females may also feed directly on whitefly larvae to increase their own lifespan and egg production.
