Phytoseiulus persimilis
PHYTOcontrol contains the predatory mite Phytoseiulus persimilis, a trusted solution for biologically controlling spider mites. Although blind, these mites rely on scent and touch to locate their prey. The carrier material containing Phytoseiulus can be applied to the leaves of your crops, where the mites will immediately start hunting spider mites. Their diet consists exclusively of spider mites, and in the absence of food, they may turn cannibalistic. An adult P. persimilis can consume up to five adult spider mites or 20 spider mite eggs or larvae each day.
PHYTOcontrol includes about four times as many female mites as males. Fertilized females will lay their eggs near a spider mite infestation. Under favourable conditions, the Phytoseiulus population can grow faster than that of the spider mites. The ideal temperature range for effective control is between 15°C and 30°C.

Usage Instruction for Phytoseiulus persimilis
Keep the product cool (8–10°C) before use. Let the mites acclimatize to greenhouse temperature before applying. Shake the bottle gently and keep it horizontal to evenly distribute the mites. Release the mites by placing small piles of carrier material on crop leaves, or use the intro box. Ensure even distribution throughout the greenhouse. Maintain at least 65% relative humidity for best results, as warm, dry conditions reduce the mites' survival and effectiveness.
