Adalia bipunctata – 100 Adults

Targeted biological control for aphids

Adalia bipunctata, commonly known as the two-spotted ladybird, is a beneficial predatory beetle used for the biological control of several aphid species.

Why use Adalia bipunctata?

✅ Adult ladybirds actively search for aphid colonies throughout the crop

✅ Adults feed on multiple aphid species and can consume large numbers of aphids

✅ Adults can lay eggs in the crop when suitable prey is available, supporting continued biological control

✅ Well suited for targeted control of established aphid hotspots

✅ Compatible with integrated pest management programs and other biological control agents

Recommended Use

Release adults directly into areas where aphids are present, focusing on aphid hotspots and surrounding areas before the pest spreads.

Because adult Adalia are highly mobile, they may move throughout the crop after release as they search for prey. Releasing them near active aphid colonies helps encourage them to establish where control is needed.

The appropriate release rate depends on the crop, aphid species, pest pressure and growing conditions. Consult your Royal Brinkman or Agrobío advisor for the recommended rate for your crop.

Recommended Crops

Adalia bipunctata can be used in a range of horticultural, ornamental and fruit crops where aphids are present.
